There are quite a few great things that you can do in order to up the ante and make your kid's Halloween ten times as fun! However, it all starts with good old fun. So, here are a few ways that you can take your little one's Halloween from relatively boring to pretty much the best Halloween ever!
Make Your Own Costume
It might seem stupid, especially when you're rushed on time, but if you have enough, this can be loads of great fun! First and foremost, pick a costume that you know is within your limits. Make sure that you also have all of the materials ready to go at least a week before you start working on it. Every kid's Halloween will be made more fun by this—but, if they don't like the idea or you just don't have the time, there's no shame in buying a costume. Do what works the best, but definitely think over this fun idea!
Throw a Party!
To make your kid's Halloween, it doesn't have to be a huge party. (Trust us, we feel your pain when it comes to the idea of what small children might do to your furniture. It's a scary thought.) There are loads of way to make your kid's Halloween without trashing your house. Try to have the party outside—it'll still be lots of fun, without all of the hassle of cleaning up your house. Try to have a lot of fun activities planned and spooky snacks as well! If you need to, have a few extra adults help out with everything.
