Safety Tips for Trick-or-Treating
Halloween night is so much fun for children and their parents. However, the fun can quickly disappear if someone gets hurt. Consider these safety tips before you go out trick-or-treating this Halloween night.
Tip #1: Take flashlights. Flashlights will help you keep track of your children. They will also help your family from tripping as you walk down the streets in the dark.
Tip #2: Keep costumes safe. Make sure that there is nothing hanging from each child’s costume that would cause them to trip. Carefully check masks to ensure that the children can see and breathe properly.
Tip #3: Choose safe neighborhoods. One of the biggest hazards on Halloween night is traffic driving down the road as children are trick-or-treating. Make sure you take your children on roads that are not busy. Choosing safe neighborhoods is a good idea as well.
Tip #4: Do not let children trick-or-treat alone. Parents should always accompany children when trick-or-treating to ensure their safety on Halloween night.
