A dog is a cheap Halloween kids’ costume idea in this difficult economy. Easy to put together, this Halloween costume idea can even be assembled the night before Halloween. To make this cheap toddler or kids’ Halloween costume, purchase a brown sweatshirt and sweat pants. Pair them with brown shoes and brown socks. Get a pair of brown mittens and glue four black circles made of felt onto the palms of the mittens to make the dog’s paws. Cut long, oval-shaped ears out of brown felt and secure them to a brown headband with fabric glue. Finish the Halloween costume with black face paint. Apply a sizeable circle to the child’s nose and then small dots on each side of the nose. This adorable kids’ costume idea makes a cheap and easy way to let your child celebrate Halloween.
